COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Not everyone is able to feel or hear the magic of Santa during the Christmas season.
On Wednesday, the annual "Signing Santa" Christmas party was held for elementary school children who are deaf and hard of hearing.
As you might expect, Santa was the main attraction at the event, which took place in the school library at Johnson Elementary in Columbus.
Organizers say it's nice to help everyone get into the Christmas spirit.
"They get really excited. They know there's a Santa coming they can communicate with, when they usually would struggle to do that. You'll see their faces light up as soon as Santa sneaks in," one organizer said.
And that's what happened. The children were served lunch and then received gifts from Santa who was able to spend time with each of the children.
Mrs. Clause and an elf also made an appearance.
