Suspects in alleged Columbus sex trafficking case appear in court Friday

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Three people accused of sex trafficking made their first appearance in court on Friday, and each pled not guilty to the charges.

Deangelo Walker, Kimari Hill and Bryshae McBride were arrested Wednesday after authorities raided a home on Gleason Avenue.

Police say the victims are ages 16 and 21.

The 21-year old claims they were was kidnapped from Hampton, Georgia and forced into prostitution, and the 16-year-old from the parking lot of Columbus Tech.

Kimari Hill took the stand and claimed there was no kidnapping, and that the victims went with the suspects on their own will.

"There was no such things as kidnappings, forcings any of that stuff. He said she said," Hill said.

The names of their victims were not released.
