Georgia Governor expands state of emergency

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal Wednesday expanded the state of emergency to include Nearby Troup County as well as Gordon, Macon, Towns, and Wilkes Counties.
At last report, no fewer than 13 roads across Troup County have been close due to flooding.

The executive order paves the way for state-level manpower and money to respond to local damage caused by excessive rainfall during the past week.
Governor Deal also extended the emergency declaration, issued last week for Fannin, Gilmer and Pickens Counties, to January 7th of next year.
