LaGrange police arrest Georgia Ave. shooting suspect

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - LaGrange police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting on Monday, Jan. 4.

Frederick Beasley of LaGrange was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 7 and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On Jan. 4 at approximately 2: 39 p.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the 900 block of Georgia Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Issac Encarnacion, who had been shot in the right arm.

Encarnacion was flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta for treatment.
