COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The president of the Urban League of Columbus, Susan Cooper, has organized a one stop resource center for the fire victims of MLK Boulevard.

The purpose is to bring the resources to the families instead of having them travel across town for services.

The event is located at the Econo Lodge located at 1024 Veterans Parkway at noon and 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Some of the services on site will include:

  • Metra
  • Muscogee County School District
  • Red Cross
  •  211 Citizen Services

Over the last week the community has come together to help those families who lost everything in the fire. On New Year’s Day $3,000 were collected at a concert located at the Civic Center, and Kingdom Faith Outreach Ministries hosted a musical to benefit those victims as well.
