COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Dow Jones dropped 392 points on Thursday, continuing a plunge that leaves the Dow down 910 points in the first four days of 2016.
Tyler Townsend with Townsend Wealth Management explained how this is affecting stockholders and what you should take away from the latest drop on Wall Street.
"A lesson we learned in 2008 and 2009 is that no matter how difficult things feel it will come back eventually," Townsend said.
If you are investing in your 401K it's important to invest long term with stocks and bonds.
Townsend also says that people who save regularly should continue to make your monthly paychecks to your 401K, and the worst thing to do is not want to invest your money long term.
