COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The American Heart Association's Wear Red for Women Day is coming up in February. Dr. Paula Walker King stopped by News Leader 9 Morning to tell us more about an event in Columbus celebrating women's health.
Wear Red for Women Day is Feb. 5, and the campaign highlights the fact that heart disease continues to be one of the leading causes of death for women because of different symptoms.
The Red Wine Sip will be on Feb. 5 from 7-10p.m. at The Columbus Museum on Wynnton Rd. For more information and tickets you can call 678-467-9448. Cardiologist Dr. Alonzo Jones will be the keynote speaker for the event.
