COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The United Way needs your help finding the homeless a home.
The Home for Good project conducts a census of those without a home by canvassing the streets and shelters. On Jan. 24 to Jan. 25 people in need of a home are asked to come into various locations for a survey. This survey helps improve housing and employment for the homeless.
"We are here to offer assistance. We are here to individualize. We're not saying you need this. These are individualized plans that are based on the information that we get from each individual we meet. So it's about wrapping the services around an individual based on their individual needs," Pat Frey, executive director of Home For Good.
United Way needs team leaders and surveyor volunteers. If you're interested come out to the United Way office located at 1100 5th Ave. on Jan. 19. from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
