Fort Mitchell shooting victim now in stable condition

FORT MITCHELL, AL (WTVM) - One of the victims in last week's triple shooting in Fort Mitchell has been upgraded to stable condition after recovering from being shot in the head.

Police say 21-year-old Devonte Howard was shot during an altercation with his friend, 19-year-old Travon Harmon. Officials say Harmon grabbed Howard's gun, and shot him in the head.

Investigators say Harmon then shot and killed his 77-year-old grandfather and 26-year-old sister, Bianca.

Harmon is facing capital murder charges, and his next court appearance will be in February.
