PHOTOS: Opelika PD investigating 6 separate business burglaries

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - The Opelika Police Department is currently investigating multiple burglaries of businesses that they believe are connected.

On Jan. 14 between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. CST, OPD says they responded to six separate business burgled throughout the city of Opelika.

Police believe that the crimes are connected and were committed by the same suspects. The businesses that were burgled include:

Gohyang Gardens Korean Restaurant, 816 Columbus Parkway

  • Wing Town, 13 Samford Avenue
  • New China, 1515 2nd Avenue, Suite L
  • So-Lo Service Station, 823 Crawford Road
  • Flowers Baking Company Thrift Store, 1503 2nd Avenue
  • Unwired, 3702 Pepperell Parkway

Police say that in most of these incidences, the suspects broke out a glass door to gain entry inside of the business. The cash registers were stolen in some of the burglaries, as well as other various items.

In each crime, the suspects were not in the businesses for very long. The suspect vehicle in the cases is described only as a silver or grey passenger car.
