Columbus State University head women’s basketball coach Jonathan Norton was released from the hospital on Thursday afternoon and returned to Columbus on Thursday afternoon.
After spending the night at Gainesville's Northeast Georgia Medical Center for testing, all tests came back normal.
"From my entire family, I would like to say thank you to everyone that reached out to us whether it was by phone call, text message or social media," said Norton. "The amount of people reaching out was very humbling and the family very much appreciates all the prayers and kind words. We are very lucky and blessed to be a part of this great community and to be surrounded by such wonderful friends, families and colleagues."
Norton’s status for rejoining the Lady Cougars for Saturday’s road contest at Augusta is still yet to be determined.
