AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The Auburn Police Division is currently investigating two robberies that occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday, Jan. 16 at approximately 10:38 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call at a business located in the 600 block of Webster Road.

Minutes later, officers responded to second robbery call at a business located in the 1800 block of W. Long Leaf Drive.

When police arrived on the scene they were informed that a black male armed with a hand gun entered the businesses and demanded money.

The suspect fled on foot after taking an undetermined amount of U.S. currency from both businesses.

Neither store clerk was injured during the incidents.

The suspect committing the robberies was captured on video surveillance cameras. He is described as a black male in his 20s and average build approximately 6’1” to 6’3”, and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange and blue baseball cap, sunglasses, and a grey, zip-up hoodie over a navy blue T-shirt, blue jeans and athletic shoes.

The Auburn Police Division Detective Section is investigating both cases and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or either case is encouraged to call detectives at (334)-501-3140 or the anonymous tip line at (334)-246-1391.
