COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Todd Robinson, a former educator with the Stewart County School System, has announced he's running for the Muscogee County School Board in District 5.
The announcement took place Friday night at the Columbus Public Library.
Todd is a retired Army Ranger and has been living in the Columbus area for the past 14 years.
He feels that education at the elementary level is crucial to the development of our student's foundation for academic excellence.
"Well being a former educator, I have a passion for kids," Robinson said. "Knowing that 10 of the 11 title one schools failed the GA standard test, it's imperative that we pay attention to the elementary level."
Robinson is a member of the Georgia Teachers Retirement System and a member of the Georgia Association of Teachers.
Additionally, Robinson is also married to one of our WTVM news anchors, Cheryl Renee.
