PHOTOS: OPD searching for 2 suspects in counterfeit check scam

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) - The Opelika Police Department has released surveillance images of two suspects they believe used counterfeit checks that were cashed.

Police say that on Jan. 20, they received complaints of criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft of property from the Target location at 2540 Enterprise Drive.

The store says the crimes occurred on Jan. 19, when within minutes of one another, three counterfeit checks were cashed by two different men.

If anyone knows or recognizes the two men from the surveillance images released by the store, you are asked to contact the Opelika Police Department Investigative Services Division at (334)-705-5220 or the secret witness hotline at (334)-745-8665.
