Ft. Benning soldier’s motorcycle stolen overnight

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus police are searching for a motorcycle that was stolen overnight on Thursday, Jan. 28.

Officials were called to an apartment complex located at 1700 Fountain Court in Columbus on Friday, Jan. 29 at 6:20 a.m.

The victim, who is a soldier stationed at Fort Benning, told police he parked his yellow 2006 Suzuki GSXR750K6 in the breezeway in front of the apartment Thursday night at 11 p.m.

The next day, he returned at 5:40 a.m. to find his motorcycle had been stolen.

The motorcycle has carbon fiber decals with a chrome exhaust and is valued at $5,000. Its license number is TGX305 and has a VIN of JS1GR7KA562108110

There are no cameras present in the area and no witnesses or suspects at this time. No further information about this incident is available.
