Brown announces candidacy for Muscogee Co. Sheriff

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

After coming up short in her bid three years ago, Pam Brown is once again looking to unseat John Darr in the race for Muscogee County Sheriff.

Brown announced her candidacy Saturday morning for the upcoming 2016 race for Muscogee County Sheriff.

She narrowly missed beating Sheriff Darr back in 2012 in the Democratic primary.

The former lieutenant says she's moving past that disappointment, and says she's looking forward to hopefully getting the job done during this election.

The 2012 race was hotly contested, with Darr narrowly beating out Brown by just 71 votes following a recount.
