Columbus group offers pet first aid, CPR class

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Pet parents, listen up!

The Southeastern Remote Medical Training, LLC will be offering a three hour "Hands-on Training" Pet First Aid/CPR class.

The class takes place on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1-4 p.m. at PAWS Humane on Milgen Road in Columbus. 

Class fee is $50 with a portion of the proceeds donated to PAWS Humane. 

Each participant will receive a frameable Course Completion Certificate. 

Topics addressed include Pet First Aid Kit, Vital Signs, Standard Precautions, Muzzling, ABC's, Rescue Breathing, Scene Safety, Pet CPR, Choking and Snakebites. 

They teach the ASPCA-approved American Safety and Health Institute's program, with video, class discussion, and lots of "Hands-on Training."

Pre-registration is required and a $10 deposit to hold your seat is requested.
