COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus police are investigating a hit and run that damaged a resident's fence.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of 33rd Street in reference to a report of a damaged fence.
The resident said someone crashed into her fence at some point between Thursday, Jan. 28 at 8:30 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m., causing about $200 in damage.
Police observed two distinct tire tracks leading straight to the fence section that was destroyed. They also observed some crushed plastic by the left track consistent with the cover on a headlight.
Additionally, police observed several small black pieces of plastic, possibly indicating that the vehicle might have been black.
