(WTVM) - While Waffle House is trying to set the mood for couples on Feb. 14, another large restaurant chain wants you to get rid of the lingering memories of you former significant other as a part of a promotion.

Hooters is promoting "Shred Your Ex," happening at participating locations, including several in the southeast. How does it work? Bring photos of your ex to participating restaurants, put them through a shredder - and boom - free food.

"Revenge is a dish best served with wings," the promotional flier says.

Bring a photo of your ex to shred at your local Hooters or shred your ex online at Hooters.com/ShredYourEx to receive a digital coupon to activate the deal.

The Hooters Valentine's Day deal of buy 10 wings, get 10 boneless wings free is available for dine-in guests at several Hooters locations across the United States on Sunday, Feb. 14.

You can also chronicle your quest for free food with the hashtag #shredyourex on social media.
