COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus police continue to investigate the fatal shooting of a man that happened in April of last year.
Investigators are reaching out to the public once again for help solving this cold case murder and bringing those responsible to justice.
Jumunn Morgan, 29, was found shot to death inside an apartment on Rigdon Road.
Since his death, police have been following up on leads to find his killer. But nearly one year later, there still has not been an arrest.
"Our detectives are working very diligently and finding information and leads on these suspects and on these murder cases," said Officer Paul Moody with the Columbus Police Department. "Your information is confidential, your information that you come forward with is protected."
Now that the case has gone cold, police need your help more than ever.
Even the smallest details maybe what investigators need to make an arrest, but you have to come forward, not only for the victim but also for his family and friends who are still in disbelief.
According to those who knew him, Morgan was a good person who they say wouldn't hurt anyone. So help give them closure and put the person or persons who took Morgan's life behind bars where they belong.
"If you know anything that happened back in April that happened to Mr. Morgan, if you can give us a call," Officer Moody said.
