A local beneficiary of the “Make A Wish Foundation” is taking to the internet with the goal of inspiring kids like her.

Hadley Schoenborn, 9, is full of life after receiving a liver transplant just five months ago. The Columbus girl was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants.

Even though Hadley’s transplant was successful there is the possibility that she may need another in the future.

She isn’t on the list as of yet, but in the meantime and between time of hopes and prayers, she has taken to YouTube and Facebook to tell her story and to inspire sick children everywhere.

“For us and for Hadley, what got her through the transplant was all of her friends and all of the cards and actually at school they had a Hadley Day where they supported being a donor, an organ donor and they supported Hadley and they did videos and that really helped her get through it," said Jilian Schoenborn, Hadley’s mother.

Hadley was recently featured in People Magazine. The two page article talked about the 9-year-old transplant recipient's bravery.
