$2K reward offered for help finding missing Eufaula man

EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) -

The Eufaula Police Department is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of a missing man. 

Darion Dawkins, 29, has been missing since Saturday, Feb. 6. He is described as standing 6’1 and weighing 160 pounds. 

He was wearing light grey sweat pants, and a black sweat top with a white t-shirt.  

According to police, Dawkins suffers from schizophrenia and has not taken his medication in more than a week. They say he could be harmful to himself and to others.

Police say he was last seen walking in the Forest Hills area around 7 a.m. the day he went missing. 

Ground searches with search and rescue dogs were conducted on Sunday, Feb. 21 with assistance from the Abbeville Police Department, Henry County Sheriff's Office, Alpha K-9 Search and Recovery, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Ground and air searches were also conducted on Thursday, Feb. 11 with the assistance of the Dale County Sheriff's Department and the Dothan Police Department.
