21st annual Sickle Cell Breakfast scheduled for Feb. 27

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

The Association of Sickle Cell Lower Chattahoochee Region is hosting its 21st Annual Heritage Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The breakfast is a time for the association to recognize sickle cell clients, supporters, cultural heritage and community leaders as they move forward into a new year of service.

Debra McGhee McCrary, CEO of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc., will serve as keynote speaker for the event.  

Radio personality “The Queen” Rashedda Ali of bluesjazzradio.com will serve as mistress of ceremony. Entertainment will be provided by Warren Thornton and feature performances by Generational Voices.

The breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. at the Liberty Theater Cultural Center located at 813 8th Avenue.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in Columbus at Hazel’s Flowers and Gifts on 1868 Midtown Drive, Ed’s Southern Cooking on 5335 Woodruff Farm Road. Tickets can also be purchased in Phenix City at Ed’s Country Cooking & Barbecue on 1017 12th Place.
