COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Police Department has canceled a BOLO on a missing Columbus mother and her child after they returned home safely around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Police believe they were last seen with a man wanted on several charges, including murder.

Columbus Police received a call in reference to two people who were missing on Feb. 21 around 12:15 a.m. The officers were met by family members who reported that Niagara Thomas, 18, and her 6-month-old baby, Nehliyah, had not been seen by them since Feb. 16.

Both Niagara and Nehliyah left with a friend of Niagara's and were supposed to return home the following afternoon.

When they did not return, the family contacted the friend who said that on Feb. 17, she drove Niagara and Nehliyah to a convenience store on St. Mary's Road. At the convenience store, they met with the father of the child, Demartre Harris, 22.

Police say Niagara and Nehliyah then left in a white car with Harris and have not been seen or heard from since.

Harris is currently being sought by CPD for multiple charges, including murder.

This is a developing story. Check back for more updates.
