Coroner: Body found near First Ave. in Columbus identified

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, the body found near First Avenue on Sunday and has been identified. 

Bryan says the man, identified as 65-year-old Larry Lynch, was found in the Chattahoochee River behind the old city mills off First Avenue. 

Lynch was a homeless man who was known to frequent the Beallwood area of Columbus.
