Aflac named 100 best companies to work for in Fortune magazine

(WTVM) – The leader of voluntary insurance sales at the work site in the United States announced that it has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to work for.

This is the 18th consecutive year Aflac has appeared on this prestigious list, continuing the Georgia-based company’s record of the longest number of consecutive years appearing on the list in the insurance industry.

Aflac finished at number 50 on the 2016 list and in 2015 they were 49 on the list. 

The selection process for applicant companies opting to participate includes an employee survey and in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices.

"It is an incredible honor for Aflac to be named by Fortune magazine as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, now for an extraordinary 18th consecutive year," Aflac Chariman and CEO Dan Amos said. “. "It's only fitting that our employees, who work diligently to serve our policyholders and make our company profitable for our investors, have the opportunity to work in an environment of integrity, respect, ethics, enjoyment and amity."
