COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Two men have been accused in the murder of a man outside of a Columbus motel in December, and one suspect was detained by police on Monday. 

On Dec. 18, 2015 at 10:57 p.m. the Columbus Police Department Patrol Division was dispatched to the Super 8 Motel at 2935 Warm Springs Road in reference to a shooting.

Police discovered Travis Coleman dead in the parking lot from a gunshot wound.

Patrol supervisors requested assistance from the Robbery/Assault Unit and the ID division. Robbery/Assault responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The investigation led to murder of two men, Terrance Holloway and Brandon Kennedy.

On March 7, 2016 at around noon, the Columbus Police Department Special Operations Unit Tactical Squad, along with the Patrol Division Direct Patrol Units, located Holloway.

Holloway was later arrested and charged with murder after a brief police chase. Holloway was also charged with several other charges as a result of the chase.  

He was booked into the Muscogee County Jail.

Holloway is scheduled to appear in recorder's court on March 10, 2016 at 9 a.m.

The Columbus Police Department is asking for anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Kennedy to please call Sgt. Mike Dahnke at 706-225-4296 or the Robbery/Assault Unit at 706-653-3400.

Kennedy should be considered armed and dangerous. He is 5'6", weighs 140 pounds with shoulder-length dreadlocks, a beard and a mustache.
