One of Georgia’s top political leaders will be paying a visit to the Fountain City to meet with military community on Fort Benning.

Senator David Perdue will host a veterans expo next Tuesday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the National Infantry Museum.

More than two dozen veterans-focused vendors will be in attendance, along with representatives from the office of Senator Johnny Isakson and Congressmen Sanford Bishop and Lynn Westmoreland.

“I think this is going to be a great help to our veterans to talk about resumes, jobs, any VA issues, any issues at all relating to our veterans,” Sen. Perdue said. “This is an attempt we all feel is necessary to help veterans at whatever point of need they have. They've earned it.”

Sen. Perdue will also tour Fort Benning and meet the base's new commanding general next week.
