Praise 100.7 Radio-thon helps fight childhood cancer

Gospel radio station WEAM Praise 100.7 kicked off its annual Saint Jude Radio-thon on Thursday.

The Davis Broadcasting station hopes to raise thousands of dollars to help the Memphis Hospital continue its work of fighting childhood cancer and other catastrophic illnesses that affect children.

The station is looking for people willing to donate $20 a month, with the goal of signing up 14 people every hour during the Radio-thon which runs through Friday.
"What we need is partners to join with us today and to just put a pledge of $20 on your credit card and what this does is helps the doctors do research to help do away with what we call a cancer and I honestly believe that one day we can be cancer free,” said Pam Dixon, Music Director for Praise 100.7.

Over the last three years the station has been able to donate over $60,000 to St Jude. It costs more than $2 million  a day to run the hospital which helps children and families all over the world.

If you would like to donate call 1-800-411-9898 or visit their website at
