(WTVM) - With Tuesday's terror attack in Belgium affecting a major European city, Facebook has launched its safety check feature, so people can check on their loved ones who may be in the area.

The feature works by telling you if your loved one is in the area via geo-location. People who are in the affected area can also use it by letting their family members know they are safe.

Officials said at least 34 people are dead, including 20 dead at the Maelbeek metro station and 14 at Zaventem Airport.

The Brussels Airport, where one of the attacks took place, tweeted on Tuesday that all flights in the airport are canceled for the rest of the day.

According to FlightAware.com, all flights from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Brussels are scheduled as planned, with most of the arrivals on Wednesday. Click here to view those and look up any other flights.
