Columbus Regional Health offers free colorectal cancer screening

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – March marks National Colorectal Cancer Month, and it is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among men and women in the U.S.

However, many colon cancers can be prevented with regular testing.

According to Columbus Regional Health, one in every three adults aged 50 and up are not being screened for colorectal cancer.

If you are between the ages of 50 to 64 with no personal or family history of colorectal cancer or inflammatory bowel disease or symptoms, call (706) 660-0317 for your free screening kit.

There will also be a Columbus regional Mobile unit available on Monday, March 28 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Nicholson Terrace housing located at 1313 14th Avenue.
