COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

It's the meaningful story behind Easter that's reeling in traffic from Veterans Parkway.

Evangel Temple in Columbus is holding their annual Easter production, which reenacts the crucifixion and features three men hanging on crosses.

"We just want them to have this witness, and for them to be able to see it, a lot of people stop, we're able to talk with them, pray with them, it has a very powerful impact when you see it, and many people driving by here haven't thought about Christ in a long time,” said leading pastor Paul Thomas. “It’s just a really powerful witness to our community and that's why we do it."

Thomas says more than 40,000 cars pass the church each day.

If you missed Thursday’s presentation, there will be another one on Friday from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
