    A Columbus family is offering a $6,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the driver in the weekend hit-and-run that left a 14-year-old girl dead.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Motor Squad of the Columbus Police Department is asking for assistance in locating a vehicle that hit 14-year-old Arie Phillips around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 27.

According to police, Phillips was walking on the sidewalk and it appears that the vehicle left the roadway. A few days later Arie Phillips died following the hit-and-run. 

The Columbus Police Department is looking for a crimson or burgundy four door Crew Cab truck with chrome step rails and alloy wheels. There is also possible damage to the right front tire, fender, hood or windshield. 

The vehicle was last seen leaving the Kitten Lake area and traveling south on Flat Rock Road on March 27 around 9:15 p.m.

The description of the driver is unknown.
