The shooting occurred on March 23, when the Metro Narcotics Task Force arrived at the home, located at 4218 Oates Ave., to issue an arrest warrant for Russell Napier. Russell and Brian Napier are brothers.

Russell Napier was wanted for allegedly selling methamphetamine.

Following the shooting, the GBI began investigating the officer-involved shooting, per their protocol.
