BROOKHAVEN, GA (WTVM) - A police department in Georgia did not shed itself of its humor in a Facebook post about a herd's escape early Wednesday morning.

A herd of sheep and their security dogs escaped their enclosure in Brookhaven, GA. The police met the herd and asked a pivotal question.

"It's 1 am. Do you know where your sheep are?" the post said.

The sheep and dogs were grazing just down the road from their home. Once they were all accounted for, they were safely returned to their enclosure.

"No charges are expected for blocking the roadway or impeding the flow of traffic," the post continues.

They will also not be ticketed for making a "ewe" turn.
