COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Dozens gathered at a home in Columbus on Thursday night to remember the victims of a tragic accident this weekend that claimed the lives of three people from one family.

They lit candles, sang songs, and released balloons in memory of 6-year old DeNyla Biggers, her mother 33-year-old Kayla Wilson, and her sister 35-year-old Nikia Wilson.

"It’s something nobody ever expects to happen. You never plan for something like this so you know you've got to have some kind of foundation and the Lord Jesus Christ is that foundation,” said family friend Minister Maurice Marshall.

Funerals for all three victims will be held Sunday at Faith Tabernacle Community Church in Columbus at 3 p.m.

Two other children in the car when the accident happened on Interstate 85 in Coweta County are still recovering from serious injuries.

Several fundraisers have been planned and a GoFundMe account has been set-up to help the family pay for funeral costs.
