COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - City Manager Isaiah Hugley will nominate John Hudgison as the Permanent Inspections and Codes Director.

Hudgison is currently the Columbus Consolidated Government Interim Inspections and Codes Director. Mayor Teresa Tomlinson agrees with the city manager’s decision and they will go before the city council on Tuesday, April 26. This is the next scheduled business meeting of the council for confirmation.

John Hudgison has served as the city’s Interim Director of the Building Codes and Inspections Department since December 2015. He has been employed with the CCG since November 2009 as Project Administrator/Project Manager.

Hudgison has managed more than 90 construction projects for the CCG totaling more than $42 million as Project Administrator and Project Manager.

“John’s leadership since becoming the interim director has put the department on a path to become recognized as one of the best in the state. He is certainly a shining star, and I am excited about what he brings to our leadership team,” said City Manager Isaiah Hugley.
