Columbus basketball game raises money for Coach Pollard's daughter

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - It's going to be doctors versus lawyers at Carver High School this weekend, and it's all for a good cause!

Members of the Fountain City Bar Association and the Columbus-Fort Benning Medical Society will face off in a charity basketball game.

Proceeds will go towards a $500 scholarship for the daughter of David Pollard, the Carver baseball coach who was killed in a car accident on Monday, April 18.

The game will tipoff Saturday, April 23 at Carver High School's gym at 2 p.m.

Admission will be $5, and proceeds also will benefit homeless and foster children in the valley.

Be sure to head out there and give them your support.
