COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A local fast food restaurant stepped up Friday night to help a young Columbus boy bravely battling leukemia.
In March, we brought you the story of 3-year-old Jasper Wood, and how his love for police officers helps give him strength in his fight against cancer.
On Friday night the Bradley Park Chick-fil-A held a "Spirit Night" to raise money for Jasper's medical bills. The restaurant's marketing director says it's all about supporting the community that supports them.
"I don't see us waning away from doing things like this," said Tray Holloway with Chick-fil-A. "That is the very essence of who we are. People want to know that we are more than just a restaurant. They want to know that when they come here they are like family."
If you would like to help, there's also a Give Forward account set up to help the family with Jasper's medical expenses.
