Columbus community meet the MCSB candidates

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – On Saturday, people in the Fountain City area got to meet some local candidates running for office.

Candidates for Muscogee County School Board came out to Revelation Missionary Baptist Church on RC Allen to answer the tough questions and give voters an idea about their platforms.

Event organizers say it's important for voters to get to know the candidates.

"It's very important to the community that we have an unbiased forum for our citizens in our community about the school board, the election, ant their platform and what can they do to make changes and move forward." Dr. Ralph Hulin said, president of IMA.

You can also meet the candidates at several upcoming forums including school board and city council. They will meet Thursday, May 5, Wednesday, April 27  and May 17 at 6 p.m. at the Columbus Public Library.

Those running for judges, clerks & law enforcement will be Greater Bellwood Baptist Church on Sherwood Avenue from noon to 2p.m.
