Woman wanted for credit card theft in Opelika

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – Opelika police are searching for an individual involved in stealing a wallet out of a victim’s purse.

The theft occurred at Walmart located at 2900 Pepperell Parkway on April 23 around 4:30 p.m.

Around one hour later, the female suspect was using the victim’s credit card information to make purchases at several stores inside of the Auburn Mall.  

The suspect is described as a black female wearing a white polo style shirt and possibly blue jeans, charged approximately $1,200 on the victim’s credit card.

The Auburn Police Department is working in conjunction with the Opelika Police Department to identify the suspect.
