COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A candlelight vigil in honor of music icon Prince was canceled because of rainy weather in Columbus on Wednesday, April 27.

However, organizers have rescheduled the event for Thursday, April 28.

The “Remembering Prince Citywide Candlelight Vigil” is sponsored by iHeart Radio and station Magic 101.3. It’s scheduled to begin at 7:30 Thursday evening on Broadway in Uptown Columbus.

The event is free and open to the public.

Prince fans are asked to wear purple and bring candles.

The music legend died last Thursday, April 21 at his estate outside Minneapolis.
