Suspect in murder at Warren Williams homes arrested outside Atlanta

    The hunt is over for an accused shooter, who Columbus police believed killed a local man in an apartment shooting. Investigators arrested 42-year-old Timothy Jones near Atlanta on Wednesday in connection to the death of 44-year-old Calvin Denson.

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Police Department says that a suspect connected to an murder over the weekend has been arrested on Wednesday.

CPD Maj. Gil Shouchick said that Timothy Jones, 42, of Columbus, was arrested outside of Atlanta following a tip to police.

Jones will be extradited to Columbus at a later date. He will be charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Jones's arrest comes after Calvin Denson, 44, was found dead outside of an apartment at Warren Williams Homes, located at 1000 Wynnton Road, on April 30. Denson was originally from Seale, AL. 

Police will not disclose the relationship between Jones and Denson.
