One high profile Alabama bill took one more step to becoming law today legalizing the possession of medicinal marijuana oil.
Alabama Governor, Robert Bentley signed what's known as Leni's Law. It allows people to bring cannabis oil into the state for medical purposes.
Bentley says patients with debilitating diseases should be able to "consider every possible option for treatment."
The law will be effective June first. The governor also signing a bill Wednesday that makes it a homicide if a person operating a car, boat or aircraft while fatigued causes someone's death.
