Phenix City man arrested on additional charges in deadly Eufaula bar shooting

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Officials have arrested a suspect in connection to the murder of a Georgia man at a Eufaula bar on Sunday, May 8. 

Sandarius Tremain Lewis, 20, of Phenix City, AL has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of Devanta Deon Davis. He has also been charged with attempted murder for a related incident at the club.   

Davis, 22, of Georgetown, GA was shot and killed at the Jazzy Bones Club around 12:40 a.m. and was pronounced dead at 1:22 a.m.

Agents of the U.S. Marshall’s Service, Phenix City Police Department and the Russell County Sheriff’s Department apprehended Lewis in Phenix City without incident. 

Lewis is being held at the Eufaula City Jail awaiting bond on the new charge. 

The case remains under investigation.
