PINE MOUNTAIN, GA (WTVM) - Some of the world's top talent showed off their skills at Callaway Gardens this weekend.
Friday was all about the juniors, kids under 18 putting on a Masterful Performance.
It is called the Master's for a reason. The upper echelon of athletes took to the water, hoping to show why they were invited to the sport's premier event.
"This is the best of the best," Paige Rini said.
She represented Canada in her events, and took second place in the women's slalom. She also finished second in the overall numbers.
It is a huge event, as competitors from all over the world come to compete. Guys and girls from Europe, Africa, and North America showed up to Callaway Gardens to compete.
Lindsay Bordier had to come a long way to show off his skills.
"I'm from a French Island southeast of Madagascar," he said. Bordier finished first in the Junior Men's Trick event.
The top competitor was the USA's own Brooke Baldwin. She finished in the top three in all three women's events, and took home first in the Women's Slalom. Baldwin also finished first in the overall.
On the men's side, France's Leo Anguenot was tops in the overall, finishing in the top three in all events, including a number one finish in the Junior Men's Jump.
This is just day one. Once the pros take the water, it'll get even more interesting at Callaway Gardens.
