COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Police have made an arrest following a shooting Sunday in the parking lot of the Peachtree Mall.

Quatavious Farley, 22, has been arrested at a home in the 2700 block of N Lumpkin Rd Sunday afternoon.

Farley was charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, simple battery. Police say there could also be another arrest in the case.

According to police, a man was walking back to his car in the mall parking lot when he noticed someone broke into his car and was inside of his vehicle.

When the victim approached the suspect he fled and got into a red hatchback car or a Prius described by the victim.

The car left the parking lot shooting three rounds, one round striking the victim's windshield and another round ricocheted striking a bystander's lower leg.

No life-threatening injuries were sustained.The driver of the red car is identified as a black female, and the shooter as a black male.

The management at Peachtree Mall released a statement on Monday, saying:

The safety and well-being of our visitors and employees at Peachtree Mall is our top priority. We work closely with the city and the Columbus police department.  We constantly review and evaluate our security procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who walks through our doors. We generally do not discuss our security measures.
