EPD: Eufaula shooting suspect had criminal history; victims in stable condition

EUFAULA, AL (WTVM) - The Eufaula Police Department continues to investigate the three shooting incidents in Eufaula that occurred on Saturday, June 4.

The victims include a two-year-old child in Level Acres Mobile Home Park, who remains in stable condition in UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Lashada Flowers, 42, and 39-year-old Andre Williams, both of Eufaula, were also injured in the shootings.  They are listed in stable condition in Dothan hospitals.

The alleged assailant, Demarco Rhymes, has a criminal history with the Eufaula Police Department that dates back to 2004. This history includes three felony arrests, four misdemeanor arrests and several traffic citations.

The officer-involved shooting of Rhymes is being investigated by the Alabama State Bureau of Investigations.  The officers remain on paid administrative leave.
