The Columbus Cottonmouths are "shedding their skin" for the 2016 season.
The Snakes unveiled a new logo Tuesday morning to season ticket holders and members of the media.
It's a sleek new design, and coach Jerome Bechard is hoping the aggressive look will represent his team on the ice this season.
“I think this logo promotes what we are. It's a little fierce,” Bechard said. “I think it was important to come out with something... a different look, with the same concept of what we stand for.”
Bechard says the jerseys will stay basically the same... with the classic blue, yellow and red.
We'll see if the team is as fierce as the logo when they open the season up Friday, October 21 at Macon, with the home opener set for the next night when they host the Mayhem.
