Lions not satisfied with opening round performance

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Lions are still alive in the A-I-F Playoffs after rallying to beat New Mexico Saturday Night.

The Lions trailed at halftime, but did what they've done all season, they came out and dominated the Stars in the second half.

But they're not happy with their performance, and look to step it up in the semifinals.
"Very disappointing, very disappointing," head coach Jason Gibson said. "The fact that we got out of there with a win, I'll take it, but just the little things that we've preached all year long have started to... I feel like we've regressed a little bit."
"Just the worst game we've played so far, offensively," said offensive lineman Ryne Holland. "We've got to step it up and I think this week in practice we're going to handle it. It's something we've addressed already and something that will be taken care of this week."
The Lions host the Florida Tarpons in the AIF Semifinals. Kickoff is set for Saturday, June 11 at 7 p.m. EST at the Columbus Civic Center.
